4.    Industrial Buildings

4.1.    Mills, Warehouses

Mills and Warehouses are the dominating buildings especially in harbour areas.

4.2.    Schraubenfabrik Bauer und Schaurte

I made the following pictures of the 'Schraubenfabrik Bauer and Schaurte' (screw factory) during it's demolition in 2001.

4.3.    Grevenbrücker Kalkwerke, Materialseilbahn (aerial ropeway)

One of the few remaining aerial ropeways was still in operation in 1991. It was used to transport chalk from the quarry to the works. The images show the quarry side of the about 1 km long ropeway.
